Post: Small Medium Enterprise Manager (SME MANAGER)

Duties and Responsibilities

Major Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities / Deliverables:

1. Portfolio Strategy and Planning:
   • Develop and execute a comprehensive portfolio strategy to achieve the targets.
   • Identify and analyse market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform strategic decision-making.
   • Define target customer segments and design tailored financial products and services to address their specific needs.
   • Growing a healthy loan book for the SME portfolio
2. Savings Growth

• Development of savings mobilization strategies and implementation plan inorder to achieve the targets

3. Product Development and Management:
   • Collaborate with product development teams to conceptualize, launch, and refine financial products and services.
   • Monitor the performance of existing products, analyse customer feedback, and drive continuous improvements.
   • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark our offerings against industry standards.

4. Risk Management:
   • Implement robust risk assessment methodologies and monitor portfolio performance regularly.
   • Mitigate potential risks and maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
   • Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to ensure portfolio resilience and adherence to policies.

5. Market Expansion:
   • Identify new geographic areas and customer segments for potential market expansion.
   • Work with marketing teams to execute market entry strategies and establish partnerships.

6. Performance Tracking and Reporting:
   • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor portfolio performance and track progress towards financial inclusion targets.
   • Generate regular reports for senior management, stakeholders to communicate portfolio performance.
7. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
   • Lead and mentor the team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of excellence.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to drive cohesive portfolio strategies.

Desired Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in business related field from recognized university plus 2 years’ experience in a financial institution those dealing with SME’s will have an added advantage.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• High integrity
