ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above post in our information Technology Organization & Methods Division in Blantyre.
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Software Development & Implementation Manager.
The duties to be performed will among others, include the following:
•Documenting, developing, testing and maintaining application software.
Participating in products research and recommending improvements to existing software
•Providing technical and operational support on developed software products including core banking application systems.
•Providing technical training in developed software systems and other products.
Interested applicants should be holders of a degree from a recognized university with a bias towards Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related field with at least three years working experience in a busy software development environment. They must also demonstrate the following attributes:
•Hands-on practical knowledge of software development languages such as: lava, C#, PHP, Visual Studio, T24 JBasic
•Enterprise mobile application development skills Must have practical hands-on knowledge of developing or manipulating REST APIs.
•Must have excellent working knowledge of the following:
-Lava Message Service (IMS)
-Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMO)
-Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)
-Asynchronous transaction processing
•Intermediate to expert level of source code management
•Experience with containers engines such as Docker & orchestrators like OpenShiftor Kubernetes.
•Must possess good working and management knowledge of relational database management systems including Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
•Must exhibit at least 2 working enterprise grade application systems they have developed
•Must have working knowledge of various Linux distros including Red Hat Linux and Windows and
