•Responsible for developing, coordinating and execution of marketing strategy for the company.
•Champion market penetration with new brands launched and OBPPC (Occasion, Brand, Pack, Price,
•To ensure business profitability through increased sales volume and market share per product category.
•Identify and explore new growth initiatives and synergies for all brands.


Strategic Focus:
•Drive & facilitate profitable growth of alcoholic beverage brands and sub products
•Develop a successful product launch strategy & activation for alcoholic beverages
•Ensure that all alcoholic beverages brands are developed in line with the company’s vision, ambition and intentions
•Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
•Devise short and long-term development strategies for product categories
•Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
•Ensure good relationships with Sales Force to achieve better market execution and sales volume
target per category
•Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
•Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue generation for each category
•Coordinate distribution model and channel execution
•Set strategic development plan on the distribution model and follow the implementation in the market through the Regional Sales Managers
•Analyze market execution and provide plan and target to the Regional Sales Managers.
•Provide company’s brands guardianship and management
•Target setting “brand, volume and distribution” (short and long term) for the Company’s brands &
•Volume and profitability (brand contribution) development.
•Perform exception reporting for commercial management decisions.

Functional Focus:
•Analyze commercial and business trends
•Recommend, develop, and design commercial reports and tools
•Continuously investigate/monitor consistency, accuracy and integrity of data and reports
•Initiate & facilitate POS strategy and support implementation of POS activities with the Trade Marketing Manager.
•Require communication, promotion and sponsorship activation initiatives central & locally lead to support brands growth and generate marketing synergies

Administrative Focus:
•Monthly reporting of sales performance per category against sales target and operational sales criteria
•Monthly reporting of depot performance against set sales target per category and criteria for operational performance and compliance
•Monthly reporting of performance against set marketing, trade marketing execution and trade performance/compliance objectives
•Be responsible for the management and control of expenditure against set budget
•Be responsible for staff adherence to Castel Malawi’s policies and procedure
•Conduct periodic performance reviews with Sales and Distribution Manager, as per prescribed
standards and timing schedule.

•Postgraduate Degree or Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Marketing or its equivalent
•A professional qualification in Marketing and Sales is a must.
•Not less than 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the “FMCG” Marketing, Sales and Distribution industry or related industry.
•Fluency in English and Chichewa.
