Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill a vacant position of ACCOUNTANT and CHEF tenable at Likhubula CCAP House at Mulanje which is an institution of CCAP Blantyre Synod.
1. ACCOUNTANT
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the business in planning and performance measurement processes for the business units โ through budget preparations and monthly periodic reporting
- Maintain general ledger, including preparing journal entries, coding invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliations, closing books monthly and setting up new accounts.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, including balance sheet account analysis/reconciliations, income statement analysis, report on changes in financial position/budget variances.
- Maintain fixed assets register and other similar records
- Timely collection of debtor balances: Implementing credit policy through timely collection of debtors, resolving client queries and reporting thereon
- Preparation and submission of all Statutory and other Compliance forms and reports with government agencies e.g. TEVET Levy, VAT, PAYE, WHT, FBT etc.
- Assist external auditors at year-end including preparation of schedules, invoices, and explaining supporting materials and procedures.
- Preparing/analyzing specific business management tools for all depts.
- Any other duties may be assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accounting
- At least 5 yearsโ experience in reporting and business performance analysis roles
- Strong account analysis/reconciliation background
- Technically a sound professional in Finances and Control
- Previous experience in SAGE or an Accounting Package is preferable
- Good Computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

2. CHEF
Duties ย & Responsibilities
- Direct all Kitchen operations, including food preparations, cooking and cleanup
- Maintain kitchen equipment as needed
- Generating and monitoring budgets for all food outlets with accountability for establishmentโs performance
- Resolve issues as they arise to ensure the continuation of food service
- Maintain control of the kitchen to ensure efficiency
- Plan menus and set prices based on availability of ingredients
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and sanity Kitchen
- Handling customerโs queries
- Inspect raw and cooked food to guaranty quality
- Collaborate with the General Manager to align Kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the establishment
- Direct monthly inventory
- Maintain vendor relationship
- Ordering food suppliers/ordering stocks
- Creating new dishes
- Accepting food orders
- Following culinary trends.
RENUMERATION
