WHO WE ARE
Nkhamenya Community Hospital is a Catholic Health Facility of Mzuzu Diocese. It operates under the Health Commission of the Diocese whose mandate is to ensure that the services that the Catholic Church provides in the Diocese are accessible to the rural masses and the quality of care being provided is line with the professional standards and in the footsteps of Jesus Christ the founder of the healing ministry.

JOB SUMMERY
The holder of the position will be reporting to the Hospital Accountant and will also provide financial service to the hospital and its subsidiary namely: Taonga Bakery, Dimba and Tuck shop.
DUTIES AND RESPONSILITIES
The general duties and responsibility of the post will include the following:
- Issuing of receipts for services/goods paid for
- Checking authorization and issuing cheques
- Balancing and updating Accounts ledgers
- Recording receipts and cheques in cash books
- Preparing and recording of payment vouchers
- Writing of remittance payment vouchers and cheques
- Preparing invoices and cash controls
- Managing the petty cash imprest system
- Managing control accounts(receivables and payables)
- Ensuring safe custody of accounting records
- Timely posting of all transactions into the accounting system
- Assisting in financial reporting.
- Ensuring that all necessary supporting documents are available for processing payments
- Preparing bank reconciliation statements
- Any other duties assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in accounting
- Be a practicing Christian
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
- Must be a team player
- Able to handle work pressure
- Computer skills i.e Microsoft Word, excel, SAGE and QuickBooks
- Good communication Skills
