BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST/ ANALYST

Are you a highly analytical and innovative professional with expertise in business intelligence, data mining, and Al-driven analytics? The Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (MITC) is seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist/Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making and provide actionable insights to support trade and investment initiatives in Malawi.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct data mining and web scraping to gather critical business and market intelligence.
• Utilize Artificial Intelligence (Al) tools such as Veed.io, Canva, MidJourney, and others to enhance data visualization and analytics.
  Develop and maintain interactive dashboards for real-time monitoring of trade and investment trends.
• Analyze large datasets using advanced spreadsheet functionalities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Provide strategic insights and business forecasts based on data-driven analysis.
• Support the development of automated reporting systems to streamline data collection and visualization.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance data accessibility and decision-making.

Key Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data mining, web scraping, and business intelligence analysis.
• Hands-on expertise in Al tools (Veed.io, Canva, MidJourney, etc.) and proficiency in dashboard development.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including macros, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
