We are looking for Chef De Parties and Commi Chef’s

1. COMMIS CHEF

Key Responsibility

• Assisting in the food preparation process.
• Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes.
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish.
• Assisting other Chefs`
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Assisting with stock rotation Cleaning stations
• Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standard.

COMMIS CHEF Experience requirements

• Basic knowledge of all sections
• Ability to work under supervision of all limited range
• Ability to produce good quality basic food
• Understanding of health safety
• Good oral communication
• Team management skills
• High level of attention to details.
• Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
• Team player

2. CHEF DE PARTIE

Chef de Partie Experience requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational skills
• In- depth knowledge of the standards of baking, cooking and grilling techniques
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast – paced environment
• Ability to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking procedures
• Time management skills
• Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively in a team environment
• Ability to solve problems quickly
• Ability to work under supervision of all limited range
• Understanding of health safety
• Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes

QUALIFICATION

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
• Those with a diploma in hotel and catering, hospitality management and front office, will have an added advantage.
