About the organisation and the role
Creative Centre for Community Mobilization (CRECCOM) is a local Non-Governmental Organization that is involved in social empowerment and community mobilization on a variety of social issues in line with its vision and strategic plan which is to see future societies with highly self-motivated citizens who are responsive to ever-changing socio-economic and political pressure for the betterment of their welfare. Since its inception, CRECCOM has executed over 50 projects across Malawi around: i) Education, ii) Gender, iii) Youth Development, iv) Climate Change, v) Health, and vi) Social Accountability.
CRECCOM in partnership with ActionAid Malawi, is implementing a 2-year COVID-19 response Mechanism-Community Engagement Project in 4 districts (Zomba, Mwanza, Phalombe, and Nsanje) from 2024 to 2025. The Project aims to mitigate COVID-19's impact on HIV, TB, and Malaria programs, reinforcing COVID-19 response, and urgent improvements in health and community systems.
CRECCOM is looking to recruit creative, dynamic, competent, and self-motivated individuals to fill the positions of Community-Led Monitoring Assistants - 4 CLMAs (district-based, Zomba, Mwanza, Phalombe, and Nsanje) under the COVID-19 Response Mechanism - Community Engagement Project.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to Project Officer-Community Led Monitoring, the Community Led Monitoring Assistants shall be responsible for:
Develop monthly project activity implementation work plans at the district level.
Prepare and conduct data collection sessions (face-to-face interviews, desk reviews, and focus group discussions) in the targeted health facilities.
Consolidate and report collected data from health facilities monthly.
Provide data to the CLM Officer for updating the indicator tracking table and any other project databases.
Identify, prepare case studies, and change stories to showcase project impact.
Guide and supervise health facility-based data collectors to ensure proper data collection is aligned with approved standard operating procedures.
Lead district-level community mobilization and awareness campaigns.
Participate in community engagement and advocacy sessions at both community and district levels.
Represent the project and organization in CLM and relevant coordination meetings and forums at the district level.
Strengthen partnerships and build synergies with key CLM counterparts and government departments at the district and community levels.
Required Qualifications/ Personal Attributes
Diploma in Public Health, Environmental Health, Computer Science, ICT, Statistics, M&E, Nursing, Community Development, Social Work, or any other related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience of supporting the implementation of public health and or HIV programs at the community level, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
Experience in designing tools for data collection, analysis, and production of reports
Demonstrable knowledge in Monitoring & Evaluation.
Knowledge in both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods
Demonstrable knowledge of spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in collecting data using electronic gadgets such as tablets.
Advanced proficiency in English and Chichewa
Skills and Competences
Excellent data and information processing skills, including the ability to collect and analyze data for strategic decision-making and advocacy.

Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with government departments, community organizations, and volunteers.
Advantages
You will have an added advantage if you have:
Experience in collecting data using ODK, Kobo Toolbox, or any other related software.
Native or a resident of the target district.
Experience in community-led monitoring and social accountability programs.
