Applications are invited from suitably qualified, mature and well experienced persons to fill the following posts that exists at Kamuzu Academy:

1) DRIVER (Heavy Goods and Passenger Vehicles)

Minimum Requirements

Preferred candidates must have the following:

• A Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
• A clean EC Driving Licence and defensive driving certificate
• Possession of professional driving permit of PGD driving licence will be an added advantage
• Be physically fit with sober habits
• Should at least have three (3) years working experience

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating goods and passenger vehicles
• Ensure that vehicles are roadworthy, clean and have necessary documentation including COF and Insurance
• Monitor and report any mechanical defects on regular basis.
• Carry out basic motor vehicle service i.e. greasing, oil and break fluids checks Participate in arrangements for major vehicle service at appropriate time.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

2) DIESEL ENGINE MECHANIC

Minimum Requirements
Preferred candidates must have the following:

• A Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
• MVM Trade test grade 1 and City and guilds Diploma certificate.
• Extensive Knowledge and skills of mechanics and emergency vehicle recovery
• At least three years working experience as a diesel engine mechanic

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conducting routine checks and service of the Academy’s fleet of vehicles
• Servicing Diesel engines and Generators
• Conducting preventive maintenance for all vehicles and machines.
