Concern invites applications from interested candidates qualified for the following positions;

Enumerator/Data Entry Clerk

Contract Duration: 2 Years

Locations: Nsanje, Chikwawa, Lilongwe and Mchinji

The Enumerators will perform activities related to the identification, registration and verification of beneficiaries in collaboration with project staff and local authorities under the overall guidance from their designated supervisors. Specifically, the Enumerators will perform the following but not limited to;

  • Conduct surveys using Digital Data Gathering (DDG) Devices and Tools
  • Ensure that DDG devices are safely kept and maintained during and after data collection.
  • Support fully in the orientation/training on the targeting/selection criteria of the beneficiaries and the process.
  • Support in community mobilization and distribution of project materials
  • Provide timely feedback on all data collection issues encountered to M&E supervisors.
  • Ensure that all data collecting tools both paper based and digital are perfectly maintained.
  • Support accountability processes of the organisation by reporting issues
  • Ensure compliance with relevant ethical requirements e.g. consenting, confidentiality, data protection etc.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Agriculture, Community Development, Development Studies, Social Science, Disaster Management, Nutrition and Dietetics or relevant field
  • Proven experience of conducting data collection using digital data gathering devices and tools
  • Prior survey experience with Concern Worldwide will be an added advantage
  • Experience in using Microsoft packages especially excel
  • Strong skills in engaging with local communities
  • Ability to work independently and in high-pressure situations under tight deadlines
  • Willing to work in challenging and disaster affected communities and contexts
  • Strong commitment to collect quality data
  • Willingness to travel and spend long hours in the field
  • Good understanding of safeguarding issues, data protection and ethical guidelines
