Nkhoma Relief and Development (NRD) is a developmental arm of CCAP Nkhoma Synod currently implementing livelihoods, Gender justice and church and community mobilization projects in Mbonekera, Mpando and Katayauta church communities funded by World Renew. With funding from Canadian Food Grains Bank (CFGB) through World Renew NRD intends to respond to hunger in TA Salima, Salima District. In View of this, NRD invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following positions.

 

Position : Field Officers (6)
Location : Salima
Reports to : Project Coordinator
Contract period : 6 months (1st October 2024 – 31st March 2025)

 

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting delivery sites to ascertain the appropriateness of contemporary conditions.
  • Ensures that distribution points are set up properly, manages the distribution process, and addresses any issues that arise during distribution.
  • Coordinating with project participants and committees and conducting community awareness sessions and support data collection and training of enumerators.
  • Work in collaboration with Project Coordinator to ensure successful delivery of the project
  • Ensures accurate and timely data collections through periodic monitoring
  • Ensures that the project goals are met according to budget and time allocation
  • Formulating evaluative resources to guide your fieldwork.
  • Inspecting delivery sites to ascertain the appropriateness of contemporary conditions.
  • Conferring with project beneficiaries and support staff to evaluate uptake, pitfalls, and areas necessitating expansion.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Social work, Community development work or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience specifically in humanitarian emergencies (international Non-Governmental Organization}.
  • Data collection skills
  • Good communication skills, good networking skills, good facilitation skills and Data collection skills

 

Other attributes

  • Dedicated Christian of sound standing in their local church
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chichewa.
  • Proven record of integrity and accountability.
  • Team player

 

Remuneration

 Remuneration in line with the Church’s Salary Structure will be offered to the successful candidate.
