VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
MANASO (Malawi Network of AIDS Service Organizations) is a network organization with over 1000 members comprising Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Local NGOs (LNGOs) and International NGOs (INGOs) operating in all districts across the country. Its mandate is to coordinate the HIV and AIDS national response among Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Malawi. MANASOโs vision is to improve Quality health for all Malawians with a mission of promoting access to health for Malawians through coordinated and accountable community health systems.
MANASO now seeks to recruit capable individuals for the position of:
FINANCE MANAGER
Reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration, the Finance Managerโs responsibilities will include treasury management, capture and review financial information, analyze it, and prepare timely financial reports to facilitate management actions. And support enhancement of the control environment through on going risk assessments and implementation of mitigation measures
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Ensures frequent review of internal controls and risk assessment including review of policies and procedures and quarterly risk reporting.
- Assist the Head of Finance and Administration in providing strategic direction to the Finance Department.
- Coordinate with the main program departments and Human resources to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other regulations by establishing financial management systems, transparent financial and reporting procedures, operational controls, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in the coordination of the preparation of financial plans and budgets following MANASOโs work plans and programs.
- Manages the reporting of various cooperating partners.
- Manages and controls MANASOโs financial resources and other assets to ensure sound financial management and operations.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports including annual audited financial statements.
Qualification and Experience
- At least a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of accounting packages.
- Registered and paid-up member with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi(ICAM)
- Professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA work be an added advantage but not a prerequisite
- At least five (5) years of progressive experience in a financial management role.

The candidate is expected to demonstrate commitment towards rights of children, adolescents, women and the marginalized people. Any person with a criminal history on Prevention of Sexual exploitation, Abuse and Harassment is not qualified to apply for this position.
