Internship Opportunity: HR/Admin Intern


Company Overview:

Headquartered in Chiladzulu, PFL is a Non-political, Non-sectional, Philanthropic, Non-Governmental Organization committed to social empowerment. Established in 2017, PFL initiated as a social banking system with the mission of economically empowering communities.


Position: HR/Admin Intern (28-40 years)- Reporting to the CEO

Location: Head Office- Chiladzulu, Malawi

Duration: One Year

About the Role:

As an HR/Admin Intern at Pacosali Foundation, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources and administration within a dynamic and socially driven organization. This internship presents an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while developing essential skills in HR and administrative functions.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist in Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Support the HR team in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist in conducting orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring they are well-acquainted with organizational policies and procedures.

HR Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in organizing and filing HR documents such as contracts, policies, and disciplinary actions.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including managing correspondence, answering inquiries, and scheduling meetings.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for events, workshops, and training sessions as needed.
  • Ensure day to day duties are well manageable by controlling resources.
  • Be able to ways of sourcing support and partnerships for the organization.

Employee Relations:

  • Assist in promoting a positive work culture by organizing employee engagement activities and initiatives.
  • Handle basic employee queries and concerns, escalating complex issues to the HR team when necessary.

Compliance and Policy Implementation:

  • Support in ensuring compliance with labour laws and organizational policies, assisting in updating employee handbooks and manuals accordingly.
  • Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures effectively across the organization.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Social Science or Business Administration from recognized Institutions
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
