HUMAN RESOURCE TRAINEE

Mphunzitsi SACCO, an affiliate of Malawi Union of Savings & Credit Cooperative Ltd (MUSCCO), is a member owned and democratically controlled financial cooperative society that aims at providing quality and affordable financial services to its members (Civil servants and any payroll based employees), Invites application from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Human Resource Trainee.

 

PURPOSE OF THE ENGAGEMENT

  • To manage the company’s human resources for efficient and effective operations
  • To manage administration activities in the company to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • To lead to employment upon successful completion.

 

KEY TRAINING AREAS

  • Management of the development, review and implementation processes of HR programmes, policies, Terms and Conditions of Service as well as Divisional Work Plans and Budgets
  • Planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluation of staff development programmes.
  • Maintenance of Human Resource Management Information System and database.
  • Management of talent acquisition processes, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and on boarding
  • Management of the payroll, staff welfare and employee relations
  • Handling investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns and conflicts
  • Overseeing the insurance, utilization and maintenance of fleet and office supplies
  • Formulating policies for efficient management and optimum utilization of fleet and office resources and services
  • Management of the internal communication systems i.e. phones and mail, memos, filing etc.
  • Managing the Medical Scheme and contracts for service providers.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management obtained the past two to four years.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
  • Strong verbal and personal communication skills
  • Decision making, Critical thinking, organizing and planning
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Must have a good organizational skills and ability to adapt to new conditions, assignment and deadlines l Aged between 25 and 35 years.

 

DURATION OF TRAINING

This training will be for a period of 6 months. You will be require to report at Mphunzitsi SACCO Head Office in Thyolo. The company will give priority to the best candidate and consider for employment depending on successful completion of the training.
