Kaso SACCO invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Loans officer at the earliest time possible.

CONTRACT TYPE:  TEMPORARY (7 Months) 

LOCATION: LILONGWE

DUTIES

1. Develop loan products to achieve growth targets
2. Processing and administering loans
3. Monitor loans to ensure portfolio at risk stays within target
4. Recovery of the Non-Performing Loans (NPL)
5. Maintain superior levels of member delight
6. Act as marketing agent for Kaso SACCO products and services
7. Interview loan applicants, obtain all of the necessary documentation to make the loan decision
8. Properly secure the collateral used to qualify for the loan, and approve the loan.
9. Grant loans according to policy and procedures and in compliance with laws
10. Provide financial counseling to members in the wise use of credit
11. Prepare monthly loan reports to management

QUALIFICATION

• Diploma in Accounting / Administration / Banking and Finance, Marketing
• Those with Degree will have an added advantage
• Age between 25-35 Years old
• Understanding of SACCO or Financial Cooperative business model
• Knowledge of related lending and compliance regulation and other lending policies
• Excellent negotiation presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• At-least two (2) years’ experience
