POSITION: MARKETING OFFICERS – Tenable in Blantyre

 

DJ Hardware - Plastic Division is looking for Marketing Officers to join the Team. The Primary role for this position is to support the Company’s Marketing and Sales efforts. The incumbents shall support the development and implementation of a Marketing plan for the Company to make sure that it is efficient, effective and impactful.

They shall ensure that all our marketing targets are achieved within specified budgets and timelines. The successful candidates shall ensure the continuous growth of the market, sales and distribution outlets of our products.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish Markets for our products by engaging potential customers
• Get the “market” using various customer sales and marketing methods such as door-to-door, phone calling, presentations etc
• Forecast markets, develop “out of the box” marketing strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
• Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships
• Maintain and expand client database within their assigned territories
• Present, promote and market products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
• Perform cost-­benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
• Achieve agreed upon market targets and outcomes within schedule
• Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends

 

Skills and Desired Attributes

• Proven work experience as a Marketer/ Sales Representative or a Sales Agent
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales and marketing
• Excellent marketing, selling, negotiation and communication skills
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
• Strong grasp and understanding of Sales and Marketing Concepts and Strategies
• Self Motivated to achieve targets
• Be able to take ownership and empower others
• Excellent planning skills, problem solving skills and analytical skills

 

Qualifications

• Holder of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
• Certificate/Diploma in Marketing or Business Administration from a recognized training Institution
• At least 2 Years experience in a similar position
