Job Title: Materials Laboratory Technician

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Materials Laboratory Technician with at least 3 years of experience in the testing of construction materials to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of materials used in our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting various laboratory tests to assess the quality of construction materials such as concrete, aggregates, and soil.
• Analysing test results and providing accurate and timely reports to project managers and engineers.
• Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.

Requirements:

• At least Malawi School Certificate of Education.
• NCIC Foremanship Certificate or any related qualification but with working experience in a busy materials laboratory.
• Those with a Diploma in Construction Technology or related field will have an added advantage
• At least 3 years of experience as a Materials Lab Technician
• Strong knowledge of construction materials testing procedures and standards.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment.
• Excellent laboratory report writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
