Overview
BACKGROUND
The Catholic Health Commission (CHC) of the Diocese of Dedza is a technical arm of the Diocese on health. It started to operate as a standalone Commission in 2006 when it was officially delinked from the Catholic Development Commission (CADECOM) with a mandate to coordinate the facility health services and community health programmes being implemented by the Church in Dedza Diocese.

CHC in partnership with Norwegian Church Aid /Dan Church Aid is implementing a sexual reproductive health programme in Ntcheu district locally known as Nzatonse in the following TAs Chakhumbira, Njolomole, Masasa, Kwataine, Makwangwala, Tsikulamowa, Phambala, Nkutumula, Mpando and Ganya. The project is targeting adolescents and youth from 10-24 years of age and expected to reach out to 54,000 youths by end of project.
The Catholic Health Commission therefore invites applications from interested and qualified candidates to fill the following position:
Job Title: M&E Assistant (1 Position)
Reports to: Project Officer
Location: Ntcheu.
Term: 1 year six months
ROLE PURPOSE
The key functions of the M& E assistant is to design, implement and manage monitoring and evaluation systems to track project progress, outcomes and impact. The incumbent will work closely with the consortium M&Es as well as other stakeholders in the district. The responsible person will also Maintain M&E data bases and documentation from the Field Officers and volunteers and ensure achievement of project deliverables within agreed timeframes at the district and community level.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To develop and implement M&E plans including setting goals objectives and indicators
- To design and implement monitoring systems to track project progress
- To develop and maintain M&E frameworks including logical frameworks.
- To collect and manage data from various sources including project staff, partners and beneficiaries
- To ensure data quality, accuracy and completeness
- To prepare and submit regular M&E report to project management, donors and other stakeholders
- To support project management in developing and implementing project work plans
- To develop and implement a comprehensive M/E plan, including setting goals, objectives and indicators
- To design and implement data collection tools
- To collect, analyze and interpret data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- To provide accurate and timely data and analysis to inform project decision making, planning and implementation
- To ensure that project activities are aligned with project goals, objectives and indicators
- To design, implement and manage monitoring and evaluation systems to track project progress, outcomes and impact.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in the following; monitoring and evaluation, Statics, social sciences, public health.
