Overview
Lilongwe Pentecostal Church Christian School (LPCCS) is a well-established school, registered with the Government of Malawi and licensed by the Ministry of Education. LPCCS follows the Government calendar and is compliant with the Education Curriculum issued by the Malawi Institute of Education enforced by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. LPCCS is founded on Christian Faith and equally accepts learners from other faith backgrounds.
LPCCS is looking for suitable persons to fill the following position:
1. JOB TITLE: PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER (2 Positions)
GRADE: D
SECTION:ย ACADEMICS
REPORTING TO: THE DEPUTY HEAD
WORK STATION:ย LILONGWE
Job Summary:
You will undertake various teaching strategies reinforced with teaching and learning aid to ensure maximum communication with the learners. You will also evaluate the performance of the learners to ensure mastery of writing, reading and arithmetical skills.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Teach learners effectively.
- Counsel and advise learners.
- Prepare schemes of work and lesson plans before teaching.
- Maintain classroom discipline.
Educational qualification and competence
The candidate must have:
- A teaching certificate from a well-recognized institution
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
- At least four years of teaching experience. Those withย more than three yearsโ experience will have an added advantage
- A Christian with good standing in his/her church
Special and personal attributes
The candidate must be:
- Proven experience in teaching
- Be devoted to teaching and show interest in respect of learners
- Able to motivate learners
- Excellent oral and written communication and listening
- Self โ disciplined.
2. JOB TITLE : PRE-SCHOOL TEACHER (1 Position)
GRADE: F
SECTION: PRE-SHOOL
REPORT TO: SECTION HEAD
WORK STATION:ย LILONGWE
Roles and Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Assistant care giver
- Assimilate arriving children to the school environment by greeting them, helping them remove outerwear, and selecting activities of interest to them
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
- Help children with homework and school work
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plan activities
- Create a safe welcoming and organized Classroom environment
- Observe and assess childโs progress and development
- Identity individualโs needs
- Encourage learnersโ creativity and problem-solving skills
- Maintain regular communication with parents
- Maintain record of attendance and any incident involving children
Educational Qualifications and Competences
- Certificate in Earlyย Childhoodย Development or its equivalent.
- Three years of Pre-School Experience and above
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
Special and personal attributes

3. JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTANT (1Position)
GRADE: C
SECTION: ADMINISTRATION
REPORTING TO : HEAD TEACHER
WORK STATION: LILONGWE
Job Summary:
You will help coordinate and contribute to the implementation of the policies and procedures of LPCCS in compliance with the established accounting standards of LPCCS, Generally Acceptedย Accounting Principles (GAAP), and legal requirements to support high quality learning environment for learners. You will efficiently perform accounting services through documenting the financial transactions of LPCCS by compiling, analyzing, and verifying account information, preparing account entries, and delivering financial reporting services.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, includingย accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with school management to create and manage budgets.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements e.g. tax and pension regulators
- Assist with the preparation for audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.
- Perform administrative tasks related to finance and accounting as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of financial and administrative data.
- Supervise and mentor the Accounts Assistant
- Review and validate supporting documentation before processing of any financial transaction to ensure all required documents areย accurate andย complete and authorizations are in place.
- Record financial transactions followingย appropriate authorizations.
- Review and analyze various accounts to detect irregularities.
- Advise on correct actions and prepare correcting entries and adjustments, as necessary.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc financial reports and perform various analysis to assist the Executive Management of LPCCS with decision making.
- Ensure staff are conversant with and adhere to financial accounting policies and procedures laid out in the Finance and Administrative Manual and deliver training and other capacity building activities.
- Any other duties assigned.
Educational Qualifications and Competences
- Diploma in Accounting (ICAM/ACCA or equivalent).
- Minimum of Two Years experience in a position with similar responsibilities
- Must be a member of ICAM

- Knowledge in financial accounting packages.
- Proficient in MS Office packages e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
4. JOB TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY (1 Position)
GRADE: D
SECTION: ADMINISTRATION
REPORTING TO : THE HEADTEACHER
WORK STATION:ย LILONGWE
Job Summary:
You will efficiently provide comprehensive information, clerical, and administrative services to assist the Head Teacher in executing processes and delivering service needs that support high-quality, services for LPCCS.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the office of the Head Teacher has adequate administrative resources.
- Compile letters and general correspondence and ensure proper recording of the same.
- Maintain the LPCC petty cash.
- Set Inventory levels and managing control processes
- Maintain stores ledgers.
- Be the secretary for the Executive Management Team
Educational qualification and competences
The candidate must have:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Business Administration.
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
- At least three yearsโ experience in similar role with some familiarity of standard accounting practices.
- Experience in using MS Office packages, in particular excel and word. Hands on with data entry into online database and forms
- A Christian with good standing in his/her church
