Malawi College of Accountancy, Malawi’s premier accountancy and business management training institution, would like to recruit highly motivated and results oriented individuals for the following positions:

1) LECTURERS IN ACCOUNTING & FINANCE/ ECONOMICS/ MARKETING AND ICT

The main responsibility of this position is to deliver academic programmes in both face to face and ODeL classes and will involve student assessments and students counselling.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Lecturer in Accounting and Finance (tenable at Blantyre Campus): Must have a relevant first degree in accounting and finance, and must be a qualified professional accountant [CA(M), ACCA or CIMA] or a relevant Masters’ Degree plus at least 2 to 3 years practical experience.
2. Lecturer in Economics (tenable at Mzuzu Campus): Must have a relevant first degree plus a minimum of Master’s Degree in Economics and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience Experience or training in project management and research as well as the ability to ably teach quantitative techniques will be an added advantage
3. Lecturer in Marketing, (tenable at Mzuzu Campus): Must have a relevant first degree plus a professional marketing qualification and a Master’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Management Business Administration/Management and a minimum of 2 to 3 years of practical experience in Marketing at decision making level or as a lecturer.
4. Lecturer at Mzuzu campus) Must have a relevant first degree plus a minimum of Master’s Degree in Information and Communications Technology or Informatics or Computer Science plus at least 2 to 3 years of working experience.

2) Campus Accountant (tenable at Mzuzu Campus):
The Campus Accountant is to provide accounting and financial services,

Qualifications and Experience:
Interested individuals must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting plus two years’ experience in a busy working environment.

3) Library Assistant (tenable at Blantyre and Mzuzu Campus)

The Library Assistant is to be responsible for performing routine clerical duties within the library and assisting library staff. He /she assists students and patrons with locating information, stocks shelves and checks out books and materials.

Qualifications and Experience:

Interested individuals must have a minimum of MALA certificate and Diploma in Library and Information Science. Must have knowledge in Library of Congress Classification Scheme; Koha and E- Library platforms. Must have at least 2 years working experience in a busy working environment.

4) Receptionist (tenable at Lilongwe and Mzuzu Campus)
The Receptionist is to provide front office services.

Qualifications and Experience:
Interested individuals must have MSCE and a minimum of Certificate in Secretarial Management or equivalent plus two years practical front office experience in a busy office. The person must be a self-starter. Must have excellent customer
service skills, must be punctual and must be approachable.

5) Driver (tenable at Mzuzu Campus)
The Driver is to transport staff and students using College vehicles and ensure that the vehicles are clean and roadworthy.

Qualifications and Experience:

Interested individuals must have a minimum of MSCE and a SADC C1 PG driving licence. Must have a Defensive driving Certificate and at least three years of work experience in a busy organization. He or she worst ate physically fit and able to work at odd hours.

6) Maintenance Officer (Tenable at Head Office)

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the College’s property, buildings, furniture and grounds to a high standard. The Maintenance Officer will understand Work Health and Safety principles and ensure sate work practices are followed at all times. The Maintenance Officer is to oversee quality control and technical support for all repairs, maintenance, and improvement works to ensure that the College’s assets are maintained and developed per agreed business plans, objectives, and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Interested individuals must have a minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE); Vocational / Trade Qualifications is a must
• He/She must be a General handy-person with skills in all trades: Carpentry, Electrical, Painting and Plumbing.
• Must have good interpersonal skills that enable positive working relationships and must have high expectations and standards in regard to quality and Cleanliness.
