JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Divine Favour Private School provides early childhood development and primary education in Lumbadzi, Lilongwe. The school is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions that have arisen at the school:

1. NURSERY SCHOOL TEACHER (1)

• Must at least have a Malawi school Certificate of Education (MSCE) or Early Childhood
• Development or T2 certificate will have an added advantage
• Must have 2 years of work experience in a similar position
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be honest and passionate about teaching kids.

2. PRIMARY SCHOOL, UPPER CLASSES (2)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Teaching all assigned areas of the Primary School Curriculum
• Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of Primary-age learner
• Organizing the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
• Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
• Counseling and guiding learners to maintain discipline at the School
• Preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development
• Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil development
• Providing feedback to parents and guardians on a pupil’s progress at Teachers-Parents meetings
• Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
• Working with other teachers to plan and coordinate work
• Organizing and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at the weekends
• Ensure alignment to educational standards and community needs.
• Monitor the quality of teaching and learning, and implement improvements where necessary.
• Oversee the assessment and evaluation of student progress, ensuring that standards are maintained.
• Ensure the well-being of learners, addressing their social, emotional, and academic needs.

The applicant:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education, T2 Certificate from recognized institution
• At least 2 years teaching experience, of which 1 year should be in a private school.
