Overview
Ufulu Gardens Hotel invites applications from suitably qualified and well experienced applicants for the following positions tenable at the hotel in Lilongweโs Area 43.
1.Hotel Night Auditor (2200-0600hrs)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Greeting and checking in guests upon arrival and providing them with relevant hotel information.
- Answering phones and taking reservations.
- Responding to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints.
- Run all Night Audit reports and report to Hotel Manager and General Manager.
- Ensure all guests invoices due are printed and are in correct check in package.
- Check all daily transactions and report to Front Office Supervisor and Hotel Manager when discrepancies are found.
- Auditing and balancing reports from the day shifts.
- Balancing cash drawers and reconciling with the receipts.
- Other duties as determined by Hotel Manager.
Skills and Qualifications Required for the Job
- Experience in night audit with an accounting background will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Detail oriented
- A team player, a self-starter and able to work independently within hotel standards.
- Diploma in accounting or university degree from recognized institution preferred.
2.Front Office Receptionist
Duties/Responsibilities
- Taking reservations for accommodation and other hotel services via phone and email.
- Ensure guest check in and check out procedures are followed
- Ensure events and conferences run smoothly.
- Ensuring that guests are billed accurately for various hotel services.
- Assist guests with all questions and reasonable requests.
- Ensure accurate information is provided to all clients with respect to all Ufulu Gardens products.
Skills and Qualifications Required for the Job
- College or University degree preferred in Hospitality/ Customer Service or Communications.
- Excellent communication, guest service and time management skills.
- Detail oriented.
- A team player, a self-starter and able to work independently within hotel standards.
- Ability to work effectively in an innovative, fast-paced and multi-tasked environment.
