Overview

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions at the Institute. All interested candidates are encouraged to apply;

 

1. Position: PRINCIPAL LECTURER IN CLINICAL MEDICINE (Grade HG, P7)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Internal Medicine or MBBS obtained From a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Medical Council of Malawi
  • Minimum of three years of teaching or clinical experience
  • Mature and committed faithful

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ training needs
  • Prepare for classroom instruction
  • Teach the specified curriculum in the classroom and clinical settings
  • Monitor and evaluate students’ learning progress
  • Participate in Curriculum Review
  • Participate in strategic planning review at the Institute
  • Maintain appropriate records for each student.
  • Conduct academic and practical research and carry out consultancies.

 

2. Position: LECTURERS IN CLINICAL MEDICINE (Grade HI)

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine from a recognized, accredited, and reputable Institution
  • Registered with Medical Council of Malawi
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in teaching Clinical Medicine related courses at Undergraduate levels.
  • Possesses strong and proven academic research skills and consultancy skills.
  • A mature and committed Personality
  • Good communication skills

  • Teach the specified curriculum in the classroom and clinical settings
  • Monitor and evaluate students’ progress in the classroom
  • Participate in Curriculum Review
  • Maintain appropriate records for each student.
