As we continue to grow and expand, we seek a skilled and experienced Quality Control Coordinator and Quality Assurance Assistant to join us and contribute to our overall success.
QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSISTANT
JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Assistant will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and Chief Compliance Officer to develop and maintain a pharmaceutical quality system in a new active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing facility. The Quality Assurance Assistant is closely involved with the development of all aspects of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to ensure that all products meet international regulatory and customer quality, safety, and efficacy requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain the Pharmaceutical Quality Management System (PQMS) following regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Develop and implement procedures and controls to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Develop and maintain a documentation system.
- Support regulatory inspections and customer audits, including responding to inquiries and providing documentation as needed.
- Ensure all deviations, non-conformances, and CAPAs are properly investigated, documented, and closed.
- Ensure all quality metrics are tracked, analysed and reported to senior management
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
- Registered as a pharmacist with the Malawian Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority
- Must have at least 2 years of working experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, or a hospital compounding pharmacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office and quality management software
- Experience with Pharmaceutical Quality Management Systems (PQMS) or ISO 9001 is an added advantage.
