Overview
The National Construction Industry Council (NCIC) was created by the Malawi Government through an Act of Parliament (Cap 53:05) of the Laws of Malawi to regulate, promote and develop the construction industry in Malawi.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant position:
RECEPTIONIST (GRADE 8)
Tenable at the National Construction Industry Council Headquarters, the position is on permanent and pensionable terms
Under the supervision of the Human Resources & Administration Officer, specifically, the Receptionist shall be responsible for the following duties:
- Managing the Reception
- Managing the switchboard
- Receiving visitors and assisting them accordingly
- Managing both incoming and outgoing mail
- Photocopying and binding documents
- Assisting Secretaries in typing letters and documents.
- Monitoring the circulation of newspapers and filing them for future reference
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
This position requires a mature, well knowledgeable, dedicated, and dependable person. The successful candidate should:
- Be aged 25 years and above.
- Be a holder of a full Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- Have a minimum of two years working experience in a busy working environment.
- Be Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Access Have self-drive, excellent communication, people skills, and have a good team working spirit.
- Be able to work with minimum supervision and sometimes at odd hours.
