JOB SUMMARY

Maziko Pvt Secondary School is a co-education institution with both day and boarding Scholars located along Liwonde-Balaka road at Mangochi Turn-Off. It is against this background that Maziko Pvt Secondary School wishes to engage the teaching services of candidates who meet the required qualifications and experiences as follows:

 

Position:  Science teacher (Majoring Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry)

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Preparing schemes and records of work, lesson plans and lesson notes.
  • Preparing, administering, marking and recording students` test scores according to deadlines given.
  • Identify and prepare effective teaching and learning materials
  • Create and maintain a conducive teaching and learning environment
  • Checking learner behavior and making sure it is consistent with school rules and regulations the school is currently enforcing
  • Identifying suitable methods of teaching and assessing the students
  • Monitoring students` performance and arranging for revisions and study circles
  • Carry out any other duties assigned from time to time

 

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in education or it`s equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years` working experience.
  • Must be between the age of 30-50 years.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Retired teachers have an added advantage.
