SUBJECT TEACHERS
The Subject Teachers shall be responsible to the Headteacher.

a. LANGUAGE SUBJECTS :
English and Chichewa

b. HUMANITIES SUBJECTS:
Geography, Social Studies and History

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Preparing schemes and records of work, lesson plans and lesson notes in their teaching subjects
2. Employing suitable methods of teaching and assessing the pupils.
3. Ensuring that the subject matter is delivered within the allocated time.
4. Ensuring that pupils are offered enough and suitable work to do in class and during study circles.
5. Managing pupil class discipline and paying necessary attention
7. Checking leaner behaviour making sure it is consistent with school rules and regulations the school is currently enforcing.
8. Listing all teaching/learning materials and maintaining inventory.
9. Preparing, administering, marking and recording pupil test scores according to deadlines given.
10. Monitoring pupil performance and arranging for revision, tutorial,remedial lessons and individual-help sessions.
11. Identifying subject needs, budgeting and ensuring acquisition of the same.
12. Liaising with other teachers, parents and guardians in the provision of essential information for the academic development of students and efficient use of time.
13. Encouraging students to participate actively in both academic and co-curricular activities.
14. Being exemplary to students in all aspects of academic and non-academic.
15. Any other duties that may be assigned by Management from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Diploma in education or Bachelor’s degree in education or its equivalent.
2. Must have experience of 5 years or above for degree holders while diploma holders must have more than 10 years of productive teaching experience in a similar position.
3. Must be above 30 years of age.
4. Must be an active practising Christian.
5. Must be sober minded always and honest.
6. Must be self-starter and innovative requiring minimal supervision
7. Must be responsible for their own mistakes and be able to draw lessons out of it.
8. Retired teachers are encouraged to apply.
9. Must be prepared to live within reach of Bowe or the surrounding areas.
10. Must be prepared to learn from others and adapt accordingly.
11. Must have a proven high performance track record of national examination results at both JCE and MSCE.
