VACANCY        -SOWERS OF HOPE FIELD ASSISTANT (1 POST)

Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the vacant position of Field Assistant Officer.  CCAP Blantyre Synod is investing in the growth of her rural Churches by establishing Sowers of Hope (SOH) Agrifaith Associations.  The Sowers of Hope Field Assistant is a full-time position that supports and reports to the field Coordinators, with support from HOPE International, who oversees the Sowers of HOPE program.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in  Agriculture, rural development or  related field
• At least 2 years’ experience working with small holder farmers or in Field Farmer School
• Language, mastery of English and Chichewa

Desirable:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in agriculture, rural development, or related field.
• Communication skills, confident and able to represent  the Church and Sowers of Hope
• Facilitation skills: Able to create a safe learning environment that is engaging and inclusive
• Computer skills: proficient  with email, spreadsheets and word document
• Reporting skills
• Professional skills: Punctual and detail oriented
• Management Skills :Able to accomplish objectives as opposed to only tasks
• Record keeping skills
• Problem solving skills
• Christian integrity: able to be trusted to manage  finances  and relationships with Christian Integrity
• Passionate
• Labour : Physically fit and willing to do manual labour and travel
