Overview

The Local Government Service Commission, wishes to inform the General Public, that the Ministry of Health, with support from Global Fund, is recruiting various cadres of healthcare workers in all District Councils. The Commission is therefore, inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the posts as follows:

STATISTICAL CLERKS

GRADE: M9
SALARY SCALE : Within (Grade M) Government Salary scale Segment
RESPONSIBLE TO : Facility In-Charge/District HMIS Officer
LOCATION : Various Health Centres in Rural Areas
QUALIFICATIONS : Applicants should be holders of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with Credits in English and Mathematics and a Certificate in ICT or any other Computer Related Certification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: โ€“

  • Capture data backlogs during system downtimes for POC EMRS, and retroactively capture ART data into the e-Mastercard application within one week after ART clinic.
  • Generating missed appointment/defaulter tracing lists and routinely updating patient outcomes after missed appointment/defaulter tracing has been completed by ECs/HSAs in the POC EMRS, e-Mastercard application and ART registers at the facilifies.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of the data captured into
    EMRS for HIV care and treatment services, ANC, OPD, HTS and other additional modules.
  • Prepare data, presentation and participate in facility monthly data review/QI meetings and ensure action planning and execution.
  • Facilitate all reporting requirements (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for the assigned health facilities for all program areas and DSD interventions working closely with facility
  • Compiling data from the various registers, other facilities and the community;
  • Preparing and update graphs and charts for key health indicators and display in strategic places within the health facility;
  • Perform monthly and when necessary daily and weekly monitoring and disseminate information to relevant healthy facility and other stakeholders:
  • Undertaking training of DCSAs and other health workers in data collection and reporting writing:
  • Submitting reports to the designated supervisor and Assistant
    Statistician at District Health Office
  • Carry out any additional duties as identified by supervisor
  • Receiving data from the community and other facilities within the catchment area;
  • Compiling and analysing data from the various registers at the Health Centre;
  • Preparing page and monthly summaries as per instructions;
  • Maintaining data base at facility level;
