SUPERVISOR MEDICAL DATA ENTRY โ 1 POSITION

Main purpose of the position
Ensure completion of all activities related to medical data entry and data management into the DHIS2 database. Supervise the data entry activities of Nurses, Nurse-Aids, Laboratory Technicians, as well as identify their training needs to provide a good service support and reliability of the data collected.
Job Summary
- Supervise the data entry activities of Nurses, Nurse-Aids, Laboratory Technicians to have a reliable record of medical activity performed, as well as identify their training/technical support needs to provide a good service support and reliability of the data collected.
- Ensure collation and entry of all data identified by the Study Coordinator for collection (e.g., HPV, VIA, IRIS images, Biopsy, histopathology slides, tracing activity, data synchronization) into the appropriate data management system while ensuring quality of data.
- Do quality control of data entry performance on regular basis.
- Know and ensure proper use of the software used for recording (i.e., DHIS2, ITAE, IRIS, Next Cloud).
- Ensure accuracy of the medical data entered the project/study database on a regular basis, according to MSF protocols and carry out regular back-ups.
- Provide technical support in data entry to Nurses, Nurse-Aids and Laboratory Technicians in project/study sites and give response to their training needs.
- Provide regular statistical reports for the medical team as well as informing the superior of any missing information, major changes, or big differences in data.
Specific Accountabilities
- Running the do.file of data control on STATA periodically
- Prepare the data clarification form for data verification
- Ensure the verification in the physical data collection tools in the field (Registers/forms)
- Submit the data clarification form to the supervisors via the Study Coordinator for correction after physical verification. Follow up the effectivity of all the corrections requested in the data clarification form through the DHIS2
- Prepare weekly summary of data for the Study Coordinator for reporting.
- Report- any data issue to the Data Manager, the Study Coordinator and the EAM
- Assist and support the EA team related to data.
- Assist the Study Coordinator in the PAVE data management system documentation
- Collaborate with the Data Manager for all the data reporting related to EA.
Requirements
Education | Degree in Statistics, Epidemiology or Information and Technology (IT). |
Experience | Experience in public health and research projects; A minimum of one yearโs experience is required, with prior involvement in MSF or other NGOs being advantageous. |
Languages | English and Chichewa |
Knowledge | Essential proven computer literacy and qualifications either in data entry and Analysis or in statistics |
Competencies | Commitment, Teamwork, Behavioural Flexibility, Results and Quality Oriented, & Stress management |
