VACANCY

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions existing at Mangochi Municipal Council.

1. TEMPORARY SWEEPERS

Age : 18-35 yrs

Duties

1. Sweeping in various markets.

2. Street cleansing

Qualification

Applicants should be in possession of a primary leaving school certificate (PLCE), and those with a junior certificate of education will have an added advantage.

2. TEMPORARY SECURITY GUARDS

Age : 40-55 yrs

DUTIES

1. Guard all the offices, all Municipal Council markets, and all the surroundings;

2. Report any detected issues to the office of the superintendent or administration head as soon as possible.

3. Make proper checks of the premises before taking over the guarding responsibilities, and make proper handovers before checking out of the premises.

4. Check out the water pipes in case there is water running.

5. Clean the office surroundings as directed by the office superintendent.

Qualifications

Applicants must be in possession of a Primary Leaving School Certificate (PLCE) and with a minimum of four(4)years’experience those with Junior Certificate of Education will have an added advantage.
