TEMPORARY VACANCY FOR ENUMERATORS

The National Statistical Office (NSO) in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture with technical and financial support from the World Bank (StatCap project) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is implementing the National Census of Agriculture (NACA).

The main objective of the census of agriculture is to update the 2006/07 census of agriculture data which collected information on the structure of agriculture, especially for the small administrative units.

Additionally, the census of agriculture will also help to monitor progress made towards achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Malawi 2063 specifically pillar number 1: Agricultural productivity and commercialization.

National Statistical Office is therefore inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of an enumerator for the NACA. The survey will run for a period of one month.

Applicants should possess a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with credit passes in both Mathematics and English and must be in the range of 21-50 years of age. Swahili speakers of Malawi origin are also encouraged to apply.

The envelope for the application should be marked "NACA 2024", and should be dropped at their respective District Labour Office.
