The Malawi School of Government (MSG) is a unique higher education Statutory Corporation established through Act of Parliament No. 33 of 2022. Our primary mission is to play a pivotal role in shaping Malawiโs present and future by developing and delivering human resource development programmes and enhancing the capacity of the public and private sectors through education and training, research, consultancy, and advisory services. MSG invites suitably qualified, highly motivated and agile candidates to fill the following positions existing at its secretariat and both at Kanengo Campus (formerly Malawi Institute of Management) and Mpemba Campus (formerly Staff Development Institute):
WORKS SUPERVISOR
Job Summary: To support the management of the Schoolโs estates.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance and Development
- Monitor construction and maintenance works.
- Inspect activities on construction sites.
- Carry out routine inspection of infrastructure.
- Identify defects and recommend maintenance.
- Inspect materials going into construction projects.
- Implement plans and designs according to standards.
- Request building materials.
- Monitor compliance to OSHE standards.
Reporting
a. Prepare and submit reports.
b. Allocate work and appraise staff.
Qualification and other attributes
- Bachelorโs in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited or recognised institution byย the National Council for Higher Education.
- 3 years relevant experience
